Danaher’s List of Writing Rules Part 1

1) Place the punchline first.

1) Make up words.

1) Begin at least one sentence with and, nor, or or. and, don’t capitalize it.

1) Never use italics, ALL CAPS, or !s. (or parentheses)

1) Correct grammar is your reader’s best friend.

1) Reduce the use of the pronoun I to near zero.

1) Do not begin sentences with it, there is, or I.

1) Never use idiom or cliche.

1) the red sky, The sky was red.

1) Everything has a beginning, a middle, and an end: sentences, paragraphs, essays.
